Keith was born in the port city of Beluir in Luiren, on the western end of the Luirenstrand. Keith has one older brother (Bobbin), a twin sister (Paela), a younger sister (Lidda) and a younger brother (Ostran). While they all learned the cheese making trade from their parents, the others have all stayed home to work in the guild, while Keith left to go seek out more dreams.

Keith was always in charge of the animals used in the cheese making process, cows, sheep and goats mainly. And his time in the hills allowed him time to nap, sleep and dream, his favorite past time. It was during one of these naps that he caught a strange creature in his dream watching him, and it appeared in several different dreams. Eventually during a nap he spoke to it, and in shockingly it spoke to him, and they talked.

From then on, whenever Keith could look after the animals he would spend much of it talking to this delicate creature, known as Sckreex. And soon they became friends. Sckreex ended up teaching Keith all about the dream lands, and how dreams affect peoples’ lives without knowing it, and he wanted to experience the dreams of other lands, and where he could help bring balance to dreams, helping those suffering from horrible night mares all the time, or helping give dreams to those that no longer could.

Keith was traveling through the north when he encountered an elf in the woods one day during reveree. A dreamless state of relaxation that Keith found too irresistible to avoid. Striking up a conversation with the elf woman was easy, and as he had found with Sckreex, it was easy to strike up and maintain a conversation, and soon the two were talking of things quietly as the embers died in the fire.

This was the start of the second greatest friendship of his life, with Sckreex being the first. For sometime the pair traveled, until Keith got word of dark dreams haunting many people in Cormyr and he convinced Mindy to accompany him to investigate. On the way there, they met two humans traveling the same way, and seeking companions and any information they could get.

The two groups joined up and headed towards the north of Cormyr. On the way there one night one of the humans, an adventurer from the Islands to the West of Faerun simply vanished, and did not come back for 3 more days. When he came back however he was completely changed. His dreams were dark and filled with black shadows and creeping doom.

Three days more, the group encountered a strange dreamless beast of darkness, and in the fight something the Human male did caused the world to go black, and empty of dreams, and the next thing that any of them knew, they were in the body of a Half-Elf boy with a strange routine of entertainment. Keith is usually only free when the boy dreams, otherwise he gets to emerge from time to time.

Keith believes the secret to detaching himself, is to use the dream realms to travel away into a better place or body, he tries to influence Lance through the dreams tehy all share, but feels him slipping away to darkness more and more.
